EXPERIENCE

March 2008 – Present — Oklahoma State University – Fire Protection Publications
I work closely with editorial and curriculum to design and produce educational material for professional (and student) firefighters.  IFSTA is a world renown group in the firefighting industry, we are the first peer-reviewed fire services publisher and the largest, most used in North America.  Our manuals have international demand and are translated in nine other languages.  As a senior graphic designer, I’ve been involved in many kinds of projects at FPP and have applied my bachelor degree training to good use.  I feel blessed to use my talent for my alma mater and nation’s heroes.

July 2003 – March 2008 — Southwest Direct, Inc.
I worked here as both an art director and account manager for what eventually became our biggest client (AAA Oklahoma and AAA South Dakota).  Although I’ve never been trained as a sales person, I’m a quick learner and developed a strong relationship with my clients.  I’m proud to say that my business grew each year.  Most of my job duties here were self-taught, on the job.  Some of my clients included PrePaid Legal, NYSCA, Arrowhead Yacht Club, and Doctor on Call.

May 2002- February 2003 — Brothers & Co.
As a designer for Brothers, I worked on many well known clients such as Tracker (and Marine Group) Boats, MotorGuide, Natural Gear, Community Care and Sprocket.
print design / production art

June 2001 – April 2002 — Communication Graphics Inc.
As a supervisor I managed three to four ladies in reproducing art on film for flexo or screen printing.  We had a prestigious clientele base including Dallas Cowboys, Indian Motorcycles, Quaker State Oil, and even made the decals for NASCAR.
production art supervisor

May 2000 – July 2001 — Saatchie & Saatchie X
Although technically a production artist, I had my hands in plenty of design while working for ThompsonMurray (later Saatchie & Saatchie X).  I had single project budgets of over 2.5 million dollars with my work reaching across the planet.  Some of my notable clients were Pringles, Olay, Pantene, Crest, Glide, Pur, Iams, Pampers, Tide, Downy, and Actonel to name a few.
print design / production art

March 1997 – May 2000 — Littlefield, Inc.
As a production artist, I developed a great deal at this ad agency; although most of my work was production art, I was able to do a little design as well.  Some of the great clients I worked for were Dentsply, Laufen Tile, Big Brothers & Sisters, DitchWitch, and OERB.
print design / production art

April 1995 – January 1997 — Mass Market Communication Inc.
Hired as a production artist just before graduating OSU-IT in Okmulgee, I cut my teeth at this once small ad agency.  Unfortunately they are no longer in business but before I left, I gained invaluable experience on clients like Tracker Boats, Dentsply, and Vogue Motorcoach.
